Giddapahar Wonder AV2 FF 50 gram

First flush Darjeeling tea produced by Giddapahar Tea Estate. This is a clonal tea. The name Wonder is used here for a specially selected lot from the year’s first harvest, where leaves from clonal tea bushes have been chosen for their fine aroma and elegant flavour profile. The tea is made from clonal tea bushes of the AV2 cultivar, valued for its fine aroma and elegant character.

First flush teas from Darjeeling and Nepal are often more lightly oxidised than classic black teas, resulting in a lighter infusion and a fresher, more nuanced flavour than the dark and robust style associated with traditional black teas. Giddapahar Tea Estate is a small family-owned Darjeeling tea garden established in 1881, located in Kurseong in Darjeeling. The tea is grown here at an altitude of around 1,500 metres, and Giddapahar produces a wide range of Darjeeling teas.
