ABOUT US

Since 2006, we at House of Tea have offered a carefully selected and unique range of premium teas and tea accessories. To a large extent, we import our teas ourselves directly from their countries of origin.

WE ALSO SELL OUTSIDE SWEDEN

We sell our teas to several countries within the EU and to certain countries outside the EU. If you cannot find your country in the list when creating an account, you are welcome to contact us.

EU

For orders within the EU, Swedish VAT applies. There are no customs duties within the EU.

If you are purchasing as a business and are VAT-registered in an EU country other than Sweden, you may purchase without Swedish VAT if you provide a valid VAT number when placing your order.

The VAT will then be adjusted manually on the order.

COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE EU

Customers in countries outside the EU shop without Swedish VAT. Instead, VAT, customs duties and any other applicable fees are paid according to the rules of the destination country.

This also applies to, for example, Iceland, Greenland, Switzerland and Norway. Customers in Åland also shop without Swedish VAT.

Shipping costs are calculated based on weight and are shown in the shopping cart once you have selected the country and updated the page, or once you have created an account.

NORWAY

For orders to Norway, we do not charge Swedish VAT.

As we are not registered with VOEC, a fee of 299 NOK charged by Posten as well as 15% Norwegian VAT on food products will apply. These charges are collected upon import and are not paid to us.

The 350 NOK rule no longer applies to food products. The fee applies regardless of the order value.

Shipping to Norway is calculated according to a postage table based on weight. You can see the cost in the shopping cart when you select Norway as the country and update the page, or when you have created a customer account with Norway as the delivery address. Prices are then shown without Swedish VAT.

1 GENERAL TERMS

1.1 These terms apply to all orders placed via www.houseoftea.se and related subpages.

1.2 You must be at least 18 years old to shop with us. House of Tea reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in individual cases.

1.3 We reserve the right for items being out of stock, inventory discrepancies, technical issues, pricing errors and any typographical errors on the website.

2 PAYMENT METHODS

2.1 Available payment methods are shown at checkout and may vary depending on the country.

Sweden: VISA/Mastercard, Swish, Advance Payment, Invoice.
Europe: VISA/Mastercard, Advance Payment.

If card payment does not work, you may choose advance payment and contact us, and we will try to help you further.

2.2 VISA / Mastercard Visa Mastercard Maestro

2.2.1 At www.houseoftea.se you can pay with VISA or Mastercard. All payment information is sent via a secure and encrypted connection.

2.2.2 Card payments are handled through a secure payment solution. Available security features are used to prevent card fraud.

2.3 Invoice Swish Bankgiro

2.3.1 The invoice fee is SEK 19. A paper invoice is sent with the shipment.

2.3.2 For invoice purchases, a valid personal identity number must be provided and a credit check will be carried out. We reserve the right to determine whether invoice payment can be offered.

2.3.3 If invoice payment is not approved, you can still complete your purchase by choosing another payment method.

2.3.4 We do not send out more than one order on invoice before the previous invoice has been paid.

Payment of Invoice

The invoice has a payment term of 10 days. Payment can be made via Bankgiro, Swish or via a payment link that we send out. When paying via Bankgiro or Swish, please state the invoice number as the message/reference.

2.4 Advance Payment Swish Bankgiro

2.4.1 For advance payment, you pay in advance to our Bankgiro account 5137-0989 or to our SWISH 1231336270. Once we have received the payment, we will ship your order.

2.4.2 If we do not receive payment, we will send you a reminder email. If we receive no response, the order may be cancelled and the items returned to stock.

Outside Sweden, IBAN and SWIFT are used:

3 SHIPPING

3.1 For deliveries within Sweden, different shipping options are available, from SEK 29. Current shipping costs are shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.

3.2 For countries other than Sweden, shipping is calculated based on weight. The current cost is shown in the shopping cart.

4 DELIVERY & DELIVERY TIME

4.1.1 We normally ship your order on the same day the order is placed and payment has been registered, provided the order is received before 16:00.

4.1.2 Delivery time within Sweden is usually 1–2 business days, but longer delivery times may occur.

4.1.3 We send our shipments with PostNord.

4.1.4 The products are packed in corrugated cardboard boxes and the teas are packed in suitable tea bags.

4.1.5 If a shipment is not collected and needs to be sent again, the actual shipping cost according to the carrier’s price list will be charged.

5 RETURNS

Always contact us before returning an item and describe what the matter concerns.

5.1 COMPLAINTS

5.1.1 If you have received the wrong item or if an item is defective, you have the right to make a complaint. Contact us and we will help you further.

5.1.2 As a consumer, you have the right to complain about defects in goods in accordance with applicable law.

5.1.3 In the event of a dispute, you may contact ARN (the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes). We follow ARN’s recommendations.

5.1.4 In the event of an approved complaint, House of Tea will reimburse any reasonable shipping cost.

5.2 DAMAGE IN TRANSIT

5.2.1 If an item has been damaged during transport, this must be reported as soon as possible. In the event of an approved complaint, we will send a new item or refund the value of the item as well as any shipping cost.

5.3 CANCELLATION AND RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Never send an item back to us without contacting us first.

5.3.1 Before an order has been shipped, you may cancel the order. Once the order has been shipped, it can no longer be cancelled.

5.3.2 When you shop online or otherwise at a distance, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. The right of withdrawal does not apply to food products. For items where the right of withdrawal applies, the option to withdraw from the purchase is shown.

5.3.3 Items other than food products, for example tea accessories, may be returned within 14 days. The item must be unused and returned in its original packaging. Always contact us beforehand.

5.3.4 In the event of an approved withdrawal, you are responsible for the return shipping cost.
