Feng Huang Song Zhong Lao Cong Dancong 50 gram

Feng Huang Song Zhong Lao Cong is an exclusive oolong tea from the Fenghuang Mountains in Guangdong Province in southern China. The area around Fenghuang and Chaozhou is renowned for its Dancong teas, which are produced in many traditional types with distinctly different aromatic characteristics.

Song Zhong is one of the classic and best-known types of Feng Huang Dancong and has a long history in the region. Lao Cong means “old tea bush” and is used for tea produced from older bushes.

After plucking, the tea is processed according to the traditional method used for Feng Huang Dancong. The tea is relatively lightly oxidised, but the roasting is clearly noticeable in both aroma and flavour, giving a warm roasted note that complements the tea’s more aromatic character.

The result is a full-bodied and expressive oolong tea with a clear Dancong character, where the lighter oxidation and roasting together give both freshness and depth.
