A pitcher is a practical accessory for preparation of tea. The pitcher is of thicker glass of about 3 mm. You use the pitcher to pour the tea from the teapot to the pitcher before serving. This way you get same strength of tea served for all of those you serve the tea to.
The pitcher is also used to lower the temperature of the water before pouring it over the tea into the teapot.
With a transparent pitcher, you see the tea and can assess the strength and tea quality. Pitcher is used as a part of Gong Fu preparation of tea.
The pitcher is approximately 10 cm high and 13 cm wide counted with ear and can hold approximately 3.2 dl.
