The tea is harvested winter 2017 and has been hand-picked in Wudong mountains of Guangdong Province of China. The tea is grown at an altitude of about 600 m above sea level of cultivar Ya Shi. Ya Shi means duck shit, there are many stories about the name, but what is certain is that the taste has nothing to do with the name.
Dancong tea is famous for its fragrant and incredibly flavorful oolong teas and many of the oolong teas in the area are produced by hundreds of years old tea trees and achieve very high prices.
The tea has a balanced complex sweet floral flavor. The tea is lightly oxidized.
