Wen Shan Bao Zhong Oolong 50 gram

Wenshan Baozhong is a traditional Taiwanese oolong tea with origins dating back to the late 19th century. The tea comes from the mountainous Wenshan area of northern Taiwan, which is particularly renowned for its aromatic, lightly oxidised Baozhong teas.

The tea is lightly oxidised, with an oxidation level of approximately 10 per cent. After oxidation, it is medium roasted, giving the flavour greater depth and roundness while enhancing the tea’s aromatic character. The name Baozhong, also written Pouchong, means approximately “wrapped” or “packaged”. It originates from an older method in which the finished tea was wrapped in paper.
