Oriental Beauty 50 gram

Oriental Beauty is one of Taiwan’s most distinctive oolong teas and is also known as Bai Hao Oolong. It is more heavily oxidised than most other oolong teas, giving it a smooth and full-bodied flavour with natural notes of honey, ripe fruit and flowers.

The tea’s distinctive character begins in the tea garden. The young leaves are bitten by the small green leafhopper, causing the tea plant to develop the aromatic compounds responsible for Oriental Beauty’s characteristic honeyed sweetness and fruity fragrance. The tender shoots are carefully hand-picked and then subjected to extensive withering and oxidation to preserve and deepen these aromas.
