Raku Akaraku

A raku tea bowl meant for Japanese Matcha tea. The tea bowl is produced by hand by the highly respected producer Shohraku in Kyoto producing Raku according to traditional methods. Raku is considered the finest type of tea bowl for Japanese Matcha tea.

Raku is a ceramic manufacturing method from the 1500's. The Ceramic is fired at a relatively low temperature, about 800 degrees Celsius.
