Hand-picked exclusive black tea from the first picking from Tsukigase, Japan. The tea is grown without the use of pesticides. (JAS Certified). The tea is from cultivar Sayamakaori, a cultivar developed from Yabukita and normally used for green teas. It gives this tea a unique taste with light aroma and hints of flowers and fruit. This is a rarity from Japan, a craft tea from a small-scale producer.

Kagoshima, Japan

Japan was a producer of black tea until 1955. After 1955 the competition was too hard and Japanese black tea stopped producing. Today only a small production remains to meet domestic market, black tea is not normally exported.

Steeping Suggestion

Steeping Instructions:
4dl teapot - use about 6 grams of tea. Pour in 100 ° water and let it steep for 1.5 minutes.
2dl teapot - use about 3 grams of tea. Pour in 100 ° water and let it steep for 1.5 minutes.
Second steeping 2 minutes, the third increase steeping time to 3 minutes. Make sure the temperature of the water does not drop, the flavor develops with heat.
