Orthodox Assam tea from the relatively young Tea Estate Mangalam, which was built in 1973 to produce high quality Assam tea with a high proportion of tips. Grading FTGFOP1 CL SPL.

Assam is distinguished in taste from other black teas, and is a variant of tea bush called Camellia Sinensis var. assamica. Assam tea is generally grown at lower altitudes.











Origin: Dibrugarh, Assam, India
Taste: A full-bodied, rich tea with strength balanced with bitter hints in the finish.
Appearance: Black tea, golden tips, golden brew.

Steeping Suggestion

Steeping Instructions:
4dl teapot - use about 6 grams of tea. Pour in 95 °C water and let it steep for 20 seconds.
2dl teapot - use about 3 grams of tea. Pour in 95 °C water and let it steep for 20 seconds.
Second steeping 30 seconds.
Third steeping 30 seconds.

The tea will hold for several steepings on the same leaves.
