Hojicha is a roasted Japanese green tea. Kuki means that the tea is produced of the stems, which adds richness to the taste. This Hojicha is produced in Kyoto, which is where this tea variant is believed to originate from. Note that Hojicha does not look or taste like other green teas, the tea has a rich roasted, smoky flavor without bitterness.

Steeping Suggestion

Steeping instructions:
2dl - 4 g tea at 90 °C water, 30 sec. Pour out the last drop between steeping's.
Second steeping 90 °C, 40 seconds.
Third steeping 90 °C, 40 seconds.
