Green tea - Lu An Melon Seed
One of the 10 most famous teas from China. The tea is harvested in the spring of 2023. This variant is hand picked and made entirely by hand. The tea is unique in its design as the tea is only produced by tea leaves without the tip, which reflects in a more vegetal type of taste. The tips and stems are removed. Grown without use of pesticides.
The tea bushes are growing at an altitude of 800 m above sea level and are of the cultivar Liu An old tea trees.
The tea has its origin in An Hui province in China. The tea has been produced in this province since the Ming dynasty. Lot of writings about Lu An Gua Pian can be found in Chinese literature, often with numerous health benefits associated with the tea.
Origin: Xian Hua Ling, Jin Zhai, An Hui province in China
Taste: A balanced sweet light taste.
Appearance: Dark emerald green leaves. Brew is greenish-yellow in color.
Steeping instruction:
4dl teapot - use about 8 grams of tea. Pour in 80 ° C water and let it steep for 2 minutes.
