High quality Japanese Tamaryokucha Green Tea, which we buy directly from the producer in Saga. Tamaryokucha is a tea similar to Sencha tea but the tea leaves are curly in shape. The tea was harvested in the spring of 2017 and is grown in Saga, Ureshino at an altitude of about 500 meters above sea level. The tea is shaded from the sun for 10 days, which enhances the level of the amino acid teanin and gives a tea with a sweet appearance.
Ureshino is surrounded by mountains and nature and is located in Kyushu, the southernmost of Japan's four major islands. The first Japanese tea is said to have been cultivated in Saga, Ureshino.
