This black tea from Taiwan is handpicked around Sun Moon Lake in Nantou, Taiwan of a height of 1100 m. The cultivar used for the tea is a hybrid of Assamica from Burma and wild local teabushes, and is called TRES no. 18.

Sun Moon Lake is known for production of black tea. This tea consist of whole, hand rolled tea leaves. The taste is mellow, fresh, sweet and fruity.

Steeping Suggestion

Steeping Instructions:
4dl teapot - use about 6 grams of tea. Pour in 100 °C water and let it steep for 40 seconds.
2dl teapot - use about 3 grams of tea. Pour in 100 °C water and let it steep for 40 seconds.
Second steeping 1 minute.
Third steeping 1.5 minutes. Make sure the water temperature does not drop, the flavor develops with the heat.

The tea is suited for a lot of steepings on same leaves.
