Japanese Tin Cherry Bark
This teacan is a Japanese hand-made craft. This type of cherry bark craft is made exclusively in Akita prefecture in Japan. The craft is believed to have started with samurai warriors, and then spread to local craftsmen.
The tin is made of unpolished cherry bark with the inner surface of metal. The tea tin has an inner lid to better seal and exclude air. Because the cherrybark is an organic material every tin is unique.
How much can be stored in the tin is depending on what kind of tea you use. Teas vary an a lot in volume.
Measure:The tin is about 12 cm high and 7,5 cm wide.
